I bring experience in civic leadership, neighborhood advocacy, volunteer service, and professional coaching, along with a commitment to listening carefully, studying the details, and doing the practical work needed to make thoughtful, community-centered decisions. My focus is on protecting what residents value while addressing the opportunities and challenges ahead with steady, collaborative leadership.

Proven Civic Leadership

• Proposed, created, and promoted Northfield’s first Bike, Walk, or Carpool to Work Day to reduce commute-related carbon emissions.

• Proposed and led the creation of the Northfield Downtown Development Corporation, now known as Friends of Downtown Northfield, to promote Northfield’s historic downtown and strengthen locally owned retail. I served as its first executive director.

• Served as the first board chair of the Northfield Enterprise Center, a collaboration with the Northfield Economic Development Authority to support small-business growth through an incubator model.

• Served as the first chair of the Northfield Chamber of Commerce Retail Committee, focused on strengthening locally owned retail.

• Served on the Northfield Highway 3 design committee and challenged MnDOT design elements—including lane width, turn-lane islands, crosswalks, medians, and shoulder design—helping achieve a narrower, safer road.

• Served on the first Minneapolis North Loop Neighborhood Association and led efforts to improve pedestrian crossing safety at West River Parkway, including adding stop signs at key intersections.

• A record of thoughtful, service‑driven leadership during my four years on the Planning Commission, grounded in community focus and a balanced approach to Wayzata’s needs, preparing me to contribute meaningfully and responsibly on the City Council.
